CAN & TBC Mission Partnership Update and Visitation.

November 14, 2022, was a great time of fellowship, visitation, and reconnection at my former home church Trinity Bible Church in my American hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana USA. It was a huge blessing to see so many wonderful family members, friends, donors, partners and our dynamic original leadership team that built the foundation for this incredible organization in the US 15 years ago. God has been involved, good and faithful every step along the way.

On January 22, 2023, Dr. Stefania Forte Board President of CAN asked me to represent her as Guest Speaker at the Liberian Association of Michigan (LAM) Inaugural and Fundraiser Banquet held in Detroit, Michigan. It was a wonderful event!

BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT LAM: The Liberian Association of Michigan (LAM) was established in 1971 in the city of Detroit Michigan by newly arrived college students from Liberia. LAM was later incorporated in 1980 and in early 2000, became a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization.

The primary purpose is to provide charitable services to its members and friends of the association; further enhance education, social, and economic well-being. More importantly, promote the cultural values/heritage of Liberia. Throughout the years, LAM has continued to establish, foster, and maintained understanding with other nationalities.

On November 10, 2022, I was given the opportunity to do a presentation to the Men’s Kaffee Klatch Group in Dallas, Texas.

I and Dr. Forte at the GGAA National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri USA.

On May 15, 2022, I and Dr. Stefania Forte, board president of CAN, were in Kansas City Missouri at the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas 32nd National Convention. This is one of the oldest and largest Liberian organizations in the US which was established in the early 1970s.

Dr. Stefania Forte was the keynote speaker of the night. I was invited to accompany her to the event and as Executive Director of CAN, to share more details about the excellent education work we are doing across the various counties in Liberia. I was officially made a honorary member of the GGAA. Super exciting, it’s just God! As CAN have done in other counties in Liberia, the proposed construction of the Grand Gedeh County Leadership Academy in Zwedru, Tchien District of Grand Gedeh County, South-eastern Liberia was made. The land to build this noble institution was provided and everyone both local and international is going to work together collectively to fulfill this fantastic dream and vision aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty through education in the county.
